The OeNB’s mission statement delineates the fundamental tasks of the central bank of the Republic of Austria, explaining the OeNB’s role in the ESCB/Eurosystem and describing the principles governing the relations the OeNB maintains with the general public, its customers, partners and subsidiaries as well as its corporate objectives. It also establishes the values and principles that guide staff in carrying out the OeNB’s tasks.
The OeNB’s mission statement and the mission statement of the Eurosystem, which is also available online, confirm and complement each other and – by emphasizing cooperation while giving due consideration to the principle of decentralization – reflect the spirit of European integration.
